Stimulus Center

Welcome! Here you will learn about two different ways to help with cost savings during the implementation of your Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software.

There are many reasons to implement EMR but, Why Now?

By acting now you can take advantage of two cost saving incentives, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and the IRS Section 179 Tax Deduction.

Electronic Medical Records Meaningful Use

The goal of "meaningful use" is not to get adoption of EMR's but to get meaningful users of them. The incentives and assistance programs offered by the government seek to improve the health of Americans and the performance of the health care system. Demonstrating meaningful use is the key to receiving incentive payments from the government. SuiteMed IMS meets the Stage 1 Meaningful Use Criteria, and will continue to meet new guidelines.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA)

President Obama signed into law the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and made available over $19 billion for Medicare, Medicaid and Healthcare Information Technology (HIT). This Act was created to offset the cost of implementing and maintaining an EMR system.
